Anne-Marie + Matt live out west and couldn’t wait to bring all of their friends and family to the east coast for their destination wedding on a beautiful part of Cape Breton. Truthfully, I’ve never been up that way and couldn’t wait to take the scenic route where we saw a massive bear climbing the side of the hill, a pair of eagles diving for fish, and uber-senic backdrops, lush with the early colours of fall. Keltic Lodge is on a peninsula, high above the surrounding Atlantic ocean, and I constantly found myself wondering how could we get down on the cliffs with a bride and groom. We ended up getting lost in their day and there just wasn’t an opportunity for a hike … fast forward to the end of the night, and while saying our goodbyes, I mentioned the cliffs idea, and without hesitation they both responded with “how about first thing in the morning?” Anne Marie + Matt – thank you for not only the amazing weekend, but for trusting us with your lives as we scaled along the edge of Cape Breton.
Amazing photos – such wonderful moments captured. Both of you are so photogenic and risk adverse… – a beautiful venue and a beautiful couple. Congratulations to you both and your photographer – great job!
HAHA – Emily, it doesn’t have to be a wedding, we’re up for anything … anywhere! And CC, I do have good insurance, but I’m not that much of a daredevil when it comes to shooting. I’m harder on my gear than myself. Thanks for the comments guys!!
So I want to get married over and over just so I can hire you again and again. BEAUTIFUL!!!
You are a crazy nut my friend. I hope you have a good life insurance policy. Seriously, insane pictures. I’m sure they will be over the moon. Duh.
I kept waiting for the shots that “put their lives in danger” and wow. It was so worth it for the bride and groom. Absolutely amazing. 🙂
